How the roof condition assessment works
The quiz asks six questions about what you can see from the ground: tile condition, ceiling stains, gutters, ridge capping, the age of the roof, and whether leaks keep coming back. Each answer is weighted, because some signs matter far more than others. A single cracked tile is routine maintenance. A stain that reappears after every storm usually means water is already sitting in the roof cavity.
Your result lands in one of three bands, monitor, repair or replace, with the reasoning shown. Treat it as triage rather than a verdict: it is built on the same questions our team asks on the phone before booking a call-out, and we confirm the rest with a roof inspection on site.
Roof assessment FAQs
What does the assessment actually check?
It walks through the six things we ask about on the phone before a call-out: visible tile damage, ceiling stains, gutter condition, ridge capping, the age of the roof, and whether leaks keep coming back. Your answers are weighted to point you toward maintenance, repair or replacement.
Is this a substitute for a real inspection?
No. It is a guide based on what you can see from the ground. Plenty of faults, including rusted valley irons, split flashing and failed sarking, are only visible once someone is on the roof, which is why we follow up with a free on-site inspection.
Does a poor result mean I need a whole new roof?
Rarely. Most Perth roofs we assess need targeted repairs, re-bedding or re-pointing rather than a full replacement. We only recommend replacing a roof when repairs will not hold.
What happens after I get my result?
Nothing automatic. The result is yours to keep. If it points to a repair, you can call us or book a free inspection so we can confirm what is actually going on up there.
